Some very fashionable faces headed to Venice yesterday to attend the opening of Francois Pinault Foundation's new contemporary art centre. Francois has a business empire which includes Gucci and Yves Saint Laurent and has collected an impressive art collection with over 2,500 pieces by new artists. His main problem was storing the art (quelle dommage!) and despite initially planning on using a space just outside Paris, he has now settled on a historical building in Venice. It finally opened yesterday and he called on Gucci group designer Stella McCartney and face of Yves Saint Laurent Naomi Campbell to join the celebration. They were also joined by Marc Jacobs and Margherita Missoni who posed for photos with an impressive Venice backdrop. Francois's son Francois-Henri was present but his wife, Salma Hayek, was sadly nowhere to be seen!
